Black Tot

The 31st of July 1970 marked the end of an over 200 year old Royal Naval tradition, when the last rum ration was issued aboard ships of the British Royal Navy; a day to be forever remembered as Black Tot Day. In 2010, as a mark of respect to this wonderful tradition, Elixir Distillers launched the Black Tot range, a blend of rums made up of the very last remaining stocks of Royal Navy rum that had been discovered in naval warehouses. Black Tot Rum tells the real story of Navy Rum, honouring authentic blending techniques of the past while providing an evolution of Navy Rum for the palates of today.
